Free Interactive Workshop: Master the Small Speeches of Everyday Life

Dunedin Public Library | Dunedin, FL
About this Event
At some point, most of us are asked to speak in front of others.
It might be a joyful occasion, like giving a father-of-the-bride, best man, or bridesmaid speech, offering a toast at a celebration, or introducing someone at an event.
Or it might be a meaningful moment, like honoring someone at a memorial or sharing a few heartfelt words in front of family and friends.
These short speeches matter. And they can feel surprisingly intimidating if you’re not sure what to say or how to say it.
Join us for a free interactive workshop at the Dunedin Public Library where members of Dunedin Toastmasters will share practical techniques to help you confidently deliver the small speeches of everyday life.
During the workshop, you’ll learn:
• How to structure a short speech so it’s clear and engaging
• How to find the right words for meaningful moments
• Techniques for speaking with confidence (even if you're nervous)
• Tips that work for toasts, tributes, introductions, and more
Networking Social at 6:00 PM
Arrive early and join us for a 30-minute networking social before the workshop.
Enjoy sweet and savory treats and cold drinks while meeting members and other guests in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
