About this Event
Join COAST Sunderland and Durham Wildlife Trust’s Connecting Through Nature officers as we explore the wonderful diversity of Fulwell Quarry and learn about the fantastic species that live there. This area is designated as a Special Site of Scientific Interest because of its geological and biological importance and is a great place to see some of our unique wildlife from butterflies to birds!
No experience or knowledge is needed- just come along for a lovely walk, meet new people and enjoy the nature found in Sunderland
We will meet at the entrance to Fulwell Quarry and return to our starting point at the end of the session.
This event is open to all ages but please note that under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that sections of this walk will require walking uphill and on uneven ground. Please wear appropriate clothing and suitable, sturdy footwear.
