Funk Jam @ 2454 West every 4th Wednesday of the month 7:30-9:30pm
Drums, guitar amp, bass amp, keys, and vocal mics provided. All ages, skill levels, and instruments/vocalists welcome!
Val Chillmer consists of Valerie Vampola on keys and vocals, Kyle Cervantes on sax, Alfredo Balcacer on guitar, Gavin Wilson on bass and Zack Hall on drums. They are not a pop band, or a funk band, or a jazz band. They are all three where you’ll hear Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, and Herbie Hancock. They are currently writing an EP of original music, but they also play many popular covers done their way, so you might just hear a cover of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” with a fusion twist or “Play that Funky Music” extended to “Free Bird”-like lengths.
