About this Event
Free for Seniors: Navigating the Aged Care System
MUST BOOK A TICKET BEFORE ATTENDING.
Come join us at the Mona Vale Library (Pelican Meeting Room) for an informative session with Aged Care expert Natalie Hollings, funded by our Right at Home community program. Learn how to navigate the confusing world of Aged Care with practical tips and advice. Whether you're planning for yourself or a loved one, this event will provide valuable insights to help you make informed decisions.
Our event will include free cake and coffee, and allows you some time to chat with other Seniors in your area. We offer a safe, and comfortable environment for you to ask questions, however, there will be some time at the end to speak with Natalie and depending on your needs, a free one-on-one consultation can be booked in.
Natalie will cover the following topics:
- Intro and Overview of the Aged Care System
- Eligibility & Assessment Process (MAC and ACAT Assessment)
- Funding Options & Types (HCP, CHSP, Private)
- Choosing a Care Provider (Key factors & important questions to ask)
- Levels of Care & Services
- Fees & Contributions (Costs, your contributions, etc)
- Support for Carers & Families
- Client Rights & Advocacy
Don't miss out on this opportunity to gain knowledge and empower yourself in making important choices for the future. Limited spots!
