Call your friends and bring the family, admission is FREE to everyone at the Seattle Art Museum on the first Thursday of every month. In addition to our regular hours, Seattle Art Museum will be open for Free First Thursday evenings from 5–8 pm to provide more opportunities to visit the galleries for free! Evening hours will feature extra activities like live music, drop-in art making, and in-gallery experiences for visitors.
Tickets are available both onsite and online.

These 60-minute tours meet at the top of the third floor escalators.
5:30-7:45 pm | Performance by Reggie Goings Group
South Hall
Reggie Goings, a beloved figure in the Seattle jazz scene for over three decades, captivates audiences with his warm baritone voice and soulful interpretations of jazz standards, blues, bebop, and original compositions. A 2025 recipient of the Earshot Jazz inaugural John Gilbreath Award, he is recognized for his lasting commitment to the Seattle jazz community. Reggie Goings is also co-founder of Seattle Jazz Offering and presenter of the annual Jazz Reunion, now entering its fifth year.

A looping showcase of short experimental films presented by Cadence Video Poetry and in conversation with the lucid dream depictions of landscapes and daily life exhibited in Beyond Mysticism: The Modern Northwest at Seattle Art Museum. Cadence Video Poetry, a literary media organization in Seattle, WA, is the only festival of its kind in the region. Join the Cadence co-directors at 5:45 pm for an introduction to video poetry.

Fourth floor galleries
David Martin is an independent arts researcher, writer, curator, and historian. As a leading authority on early Washington state art and artists, he draws long-awaited attention to Asian Americans, gay and lesbian, and other minorities who established national and international reputations in the arts during the period 1890–1970. This tour meets at the entrance to the special exhibition galleries on the fourth floor.
