The Living Valley:
A Story & Play Experience at Valley of the Moon
We are so excited to have Ellen Jacobs, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL from Reading & Speech, Leaf & Loom joining us for this Free First Saturday event! She has put together a wonderful time for us including:
Interactive Storytelling Sessions: Original children’s stories written and performed by Ellen, featuring themes aligned with Valley of the Moon’s values—kindness, cooperation, inclusion, and care for nature.
Themed Games & Activities:
Each story is paired with movement-based or collaborative games that reinforce story themes and promote language, social-emotional growth, and creative thinking.
Handmade Playwear & Props: Designed and crafted by me, these materials help children embody story characters and scenarios—encouraging imaginative role play and deeper engagement.
Inclusive, Developmentally Sensitive Design: Activities will be adaptable for diverse ages and abilities, welcoming all children to participate fully and joyfully.
