From radio broadcasts to typewriter poetry, discover how stories shape our community — and create a few of your own along the way.Experience a full day of creativity, conversation, and community this Friday as we celebrate the impact of local media and storytelling.
CELEBRATE "ELAINE HORN: BROADCASTING FROM BELLINGHAM"
Spend the day exploring the magic of media – print, radio, and television. Create art with records, typewriters, and film strips, meet local broadcasters, and view the exhibition. Discover Elaine’s legacy and the lasting community connections formed through local media.

Sweet Art Tour of "Verdant" (Ages 1 – 5)
The Lightcatcher Gallery | 250 Flora St. | 10:15 am
A short and sweet introduction to the French masters developed for children ages 1 – 5.
Baby & Toddler Music Classes with Little Sapling Music
The Lightcatcher Studio | 250 Flora St. | 10:30 – 11 am, 11 – 11:30 am & 11:30 am – Noon
A fun and engaging music class for littles ages 1 – 5 with an accompanying caregiver.
Radio Broadcast with KAFE 104.1's Scotty VanDryver
LCB Lobby | 11 am – 1 pm
Meet local radio DJ Scotty VanDryver, Program Director at KAFE 104.1. Learn about the Pacific Northwest Media Group's local stations, KGMI, KAFE, KISM, and K–Bay, and get a chance to go on air with Scotty. You can listen to Scotty on KAFE weekdays from 3 – 8 pm.
Elaine Horn Tour with Curator Jeff Jewell

Screening of "Just Like the Men" by Talking to Crows Media Collective
