Aspiring teen filmmakers, you don’t want to miss this!!
Would you like to WIN $1000 to make a 2-3 minute short film but don’t know how to be a filmmaker?
Texas high school teens can now participate in the FIRST-EVER, FREE, hands on Film Workshops - three sessions in February.
These workshops can help prep students raise their voices and share what they feel about birth control. With all that’s happened on birth control, what do HIGH SCHOOL TEENS feel about it all?
Healthy Futures of Texas is helping TRAIN teens + give them an opportunity to WIN up to $1000 in the Student Film Contest for creating a film before March 14.

WHEN & WHAT? Former High School Film teacher will provide hands-on training and technical assistance! Food will be provided to all in-person participants.

Through a partnership with the City of Dallas and former Hockaday high school film teacher Glenys Quick, Healthy Futures of Texas will be offering three (3) free filmmaking workshops for high school students to enable them to make films for our 8th Annual Student Film Contest, which seeks 3-minute films from Texas High School Students on the theme for this year.

Glenys Quick, a High School Film teacher, will give a presentation on the filmmaking process, which will enable students to plan a film and create footage. The session will be recorded and live-streamed. The session will be recorded and placed on YouTube.
Directions:
Fair Park Multimedia Center (FPMC) is located at 1620 1st Ave, Dallas, TX 75210, in the Science Place II Planetarium building.
Driving: Please enter Fair Park from Gate 6 (MLK Jr. Blvd).
Head straight towards the roundabout.
Exit right from the roundabout onto First Ave.
The building will be on your left. Park in the Midway Parking Lot.
DART: Take the Green Line to MLK Jr. Station. Gate 6 is straight ahead down MLK Jr. Blvd. and they can walk the same directions.
The FPMC is adjacent to WRR, directly across 1st Ave from the Texas Discovery Garden.
