Roughly translated as “Seminole World,” Yakne Seminoli reflects the idea of “all our traditions coming together”. Join us to celebrate where both history and art come together! Experience how Seminole history is Florida history.
The Seminole people have had a history of adapting, and thriving despite irreversible changes in lifestyle, government, and environment. They have also helped shaped the Florida we know today. Enjoy a highlights tour of our permanent exhibition Tropical Dreams: A People’s History of South Florida as well as crafts, story time and so much more.

Join us on the second Saturday of each month from 10am to 5pm, with activities from 11am to 4pm, for free things to do, learn, and experience with the whole family! Spend the afternoon exploring the history and culture of our vibrant city.
Family Fun Days are possible with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, the Cultural Affairs Council, the Mayor and the Board of County Commissioners, and the Miami Downtown Development Authority.
