WAM Nights: From Dresses to Dapper: A Fashion Show in Black

Step into style at WAM in your favorite little black number. ◆ Starting at 6 pm, enjoy live music as you explore "Little Black Dress at 100" exhibition. At 7 pm, the galleries transform into a runway for a one-of-a-kind fashion show. Models in original designs by textile artist and costume designer Nina Winter (TISSU Studio) will weave through the exhibition, striking poses inspired by the artwork around them. Guests are invited to sketch the models as they pause, capturing fashion, form, and movement in the galleries. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just curious to try, we’ll provide the paper and pencils—you bring your best all-black look and let your creativity take shape.
◆◆◆ Nina Winter earned her MFA in Fashion Design & Merchandising from the Academy of Art – San Francisco. She owns and operates TISSU Sewing Studio, now in its ninth year of providing sewing and fashion education to our community.
