Manahua – A Weavers’ Collective is proud to showcase traditional weaving skills at the Maritime Museum.
Join the group as they share their journey and weaving practice. Over the past two years at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa (Māngere campus), they have been learning, practising and creating kete, tāniko, kākahu, korowai, and now tukutuku panels.
Come and spend some time with Manahua, sit and watch the weaving take shape, ask questions, or pull up a chair for a kōrero.
Everyone is welcome.
