Dogs & Handling Policy

Dogs that are causing persistent disturbance to other guests and dogs (excessive barking, aggression, protective behaviour, any unwanted contact with other guests or dogs, leash reactivity, etc) are not permitted in the space.

Dogs may not be left unattended - ex. A single person with a dog may need to use the washroom and may not leave their dog alone in our space. Dogs need to be attached to an owner via the leash at all times. If needed, please find someone to be responsible for your dog while you step away - this may not be a Left Field or Ren’s Pet employee.

Dogs must be leashed (even very small dogs) for the safety of other guests and dogs.

Addressing Dog Issues Progressively

• Step 1 - Dogs that are exhibiting unwanted behaviour or who are not adhering to the rules (as listed above) will be asked once by a teammate or manager to address the behaviour
• Step 2 - If the behaviour persists, the guest will next be asked by a manager to step out of the space with their dog to have them take a break from the environment
• Step 3 - If upon return, the behaviour persists, the guest and dog will be asked to leave, in the best interest of the safety and enjoyment of other guests and dogs.

Depending on the seriousness of the issue, teammates may proceed to steps 2 or 3 more rapidly, based on their own judgment of the situation.
