We all want to dance and play and enjoy community spaces. And we all want to feel safe when we’re there.
But the truth of the matter is that many of us don’t feel safe. And it’s time we come forward to talk about it.
Welcome to a new, interactive series of meaningful, solutions-based conversations, Co-hosted by Zen Chillman + AEDC.
Maybe you haven’t felt safe to talk about this stuff with others or maybe you just didn’t know who to talk to? But almost all of us have experienced some form of feeling “unsafe” at a supposed “high-vibe” event.
We are boldly opening up this conversation and creating a safe container to dive into these important topics.

In this monthly series we’ll be tackling topics such as:

🤷🏽‍♂️ How to respond when boundaries are crossed
👭🏽 Personal vs. social responsibility
👩🏽‍❤️‍👨🏽 How to build deeper networks of trust

👉🏽 And many more fun topics that are too taboo for dinner
This series was created with the intention of answering one question: How do we make our community safer and improve the quality of relating?

Our Why:
In our collective years of experience, we have witnessed many scenarios of transgressions, where people were left feeling unsafe. This often leads to folks - especially female identified - opting out of a community that may have otherwise nourished and sustained them.
And while there have been the occasional discussion on various community Facebook groups, very little has come of just talking about it.
🐘 We feel it is essential to talk about the elephant in the room so we can finally begin to heal the wounds, and establish a path forward.
While we are creating a safe space for these potentially challenging conversations, our aim is to have these conversations inform the deeper work of creating a process that our various communities can use to address issues that arise.
Over the last two years, a handful of leaders have been working on and off towards a replicable, inclusive and safe process to help communities navigate the seemingly treacherous waters of personal transgression.
That work is about 80% finished, and the intent is to use these conversations to finish and finally have a way for community leaders to address these issues in their communities in a meaningful way.

Doors open at 6pm and we will open our discussion promptly at 6:30.
