And for this hike, we're off to the beautiful town of Estepona. For one of our Easy Weekend Hikes.
The Estepona Mural Walk is an open-air art experience featuring over 60 large-scale murals painted on building facades throughout the city. These impressive works of art, created by local and international artists, transform Estepona into a living museum, showcasing everything from realistic portraits and historical scenes to abstract and surrealist designs.
One of the most famous murals is "Dรญa de Pesca" (Day of Fishing), a three-dimensional masterpiece that covers multiple buildings and creates an optical illusion of a fisherman at sea. Another highlight is "Madre Amorosa", a touching tribute to motherhood.
The mural walk is a unique way to explore Esteponaโs streets, blending culture, creativity, and history into a visually stunning journey. You can explore the murals at your own pace or join a guided tour to learn about the stories behind each piece.
Spend the morning with us, whilst we try and seek out as many Murals as we can. Kind of like a treasure hunt! This is a Free Walk, as I'm not qualified on the Murals, I simply want to enjoy them with other enthusiasts. I've done this a few times now and absolutely love it. So I thought I would repeat it for anyone that was unable to join us last time. Lets go and take some gorgeous pictures of Estepona and find as many Murals as we can. If you know a little about Estepona and the Murals, feel free to come along and join us to share your knowledge.
This will be a casual stroll around Estepona. So all levels can join. And we'll go from 10:00am - 12:00pm and then spend the last hour having a lovely coffee, and take in the views from the Cielo Sky Bar in Estepona
