Free Estate Planning Seminar in Downtown Mobile
Heircraft Planning is hosting a free lunchtime seminar on how estate planning actually works in Alabama. The event takes place Tuesday, September 15, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Innovation Portal, 358 Saint Louis Street in downtown Mobile. Lunch is provided and parking is free.
Most people know they should have an estate plan, but few could explain what that actually means. This seminar is a straightforward, one hour conversation about how the system works in Alabama, led personally by attorney Mark Eiland.
Topics covered include what happens in Alabama if you die without a will, who has the legal authority to make decisions for you if you become incapacitated, the difference between a will and a trust and when each one makes sense, how probate works in Alabama and how to avoid unnecessary court involvement, why beneficiary designations can override the rest of your plan, and what most families get wrong.
This seminar is for anyone who has people they care about and something to protect. Whether you are just starting a family, running a business, navigating a second marriage, planning for retirement, or finally getting around to something you have been meaning to do for years, there is something here for you. You do not need a lot of assets, and you do not need to have everything figured out.
Mark Eiland is an estate planning attorney and Accredited Estate Planner® with more than 25 years of experience in estate planning and trust administration, licensed in Alabama and Florida. Heircraft Planning was voted Best Estate Planning in the 2026 Nappie Awards, an annual recognition decided by readers across Mobile Bay.
Seating is limited. Registration is free. RSVP here: https://heircraftplanning.com/upcoming-events/
