Kids’ Book Club: "The Year of the Dog" by Grace Lin (Ages 8-12)

Led by Michelle Scarborough, this welcoming, English-language book club is designed for children aged 8 to 12.
Over two Thursday sessions, we will dive into Grace Lin’s beloved, humorous, and heartwarming novel, The Year of the Dog.

The Year of the Dog is an autobiographical novel that follows Pacy, a Taiwanese-American girl, as she navigates a fresh start in the Chinese New Year. It explores themes of identity & belonging and encourages creativity & big dreams.

Please note: This is a two-part event series spaced two weeks apart to give readers plenty of time to finish the book and come back ready to share their favorite moments.
