Free Educational Turtle Walk and Talk no.4
Schedule
Sun Jun 30 2024 at 11:00 am
UTC+08:00Location
Coal Dam Park | Perth, WA
This walk will be focused on what on given the right conditions our oblong turtles will flourish and we have the opportunity to see what Turtle Heaven looks like! This location has yielded 33 turtles in an hour where in other locations I've only seen 24 turtles in a day! ๐ฑ๐ข๐
This lake is the golden standard for what our wetlands should look like for turtle populations for healthy water quality and a happy ecosystem ๐๐ข๐
Its that time again to start spreading the joy and excitement in preparation for the 2024 Nesting Season of our South-western Snake-necked Turtles or Oblong Turtles or perhaps you're like me and have taken to calling them "shell pups" ๐ข๐๐ข
I will be setting up a table with my educational posters along with ones promoting 1 Million Turtles and TurtleSAT and also at my little table I will have available for the kids and big kids (of course) to get hands on with some preserved specimens ๐ข๐๐ข
Make sure to bring all your questions or concerns, let's start a conversation about turtles while we watch some truly unique reptiles!
Bring your camera, bring you best questions, bring the family and most importantly; let's bring fun! ๐๐ข๐
