Free Digital Support Course

We offer free IT workshops for Hammersmith and Fulham residents which will introduce participants to essential digital skills, providing hands-on guidance to build confidence in using digital devices. The course covers key topics to ensure everyone gains practical knowledge for everyday tasks, empowering participants to navigate technology with ease in their daily lives.

Participants will be able to access IT skills step by step over the course of the 4 weeks of the course. The sessions comprehend how to signing up to and using email to send and receive messages, filling out basic application forms online (i.e. library card, travel card) and then to learning Google office/Microsoft office applications, such as Google docs/Word, Google sheets/Excel, Google/Outlook calendar for basic text editing, working with numerical data and planning digitally. We slowly will move on to how to fill spreadsheets, and how to use presentations softwares (Power points, Google Slides, etc).
We will also support with basic design tools such as Canva, uploading photography and documents, using communication tools such as Zoom, Teams, etc and basic social media for professional and personal use.

With the help of two tutors present in class, participants will gain from tailored support with specific IT learning needs.
The workhops will take place at the Factory Quarter Community Hub, which already provides internet access and it has a large screen to share information from.
