December 5 | 12–5 PM
Painting From a Photo—My Trips to Italy
Held in conjunction with the opening of Reeves one-man show "People in Italy".
Drawing inspiration from his travels throughout Italy, Reeves will demonstrate how he uses his own photographs as the starting point for a finished painting. The presentation will explore how an artist moves beyond simply reproducing a photograph to interpret a place, a person, and a moment through paint. This demonstration offers collectors, artists, students, and art lovers an opportunity to meet Reeves, observe his painting process, and experience the stories behind his work.
