Free Dancing 8-Week Course Embark on a transformative journey into the world of free dancing! I love to share with you, the joyfull beauty, I found in exploring the depth of Dancing Freely !
I see Dancing freely, as maybe the most holistic practice for body, mind, spirit and soul.
Freeing yourself more by increasing:
- Inner Flow Awareness
- Presence of leading the Flow !
- Breath awareness !
- Bodyenergy awareness !
- Presence in interacting with others !
leads to overall more Life awareness !
This course will unfold over 8 weeks (3-hour sessions, once a week), with a fixed group of participants. Together, we will explore five progressive stages of dance
1. Awakening Every Joint:
Before taking steps, we focus on the foundation—feeling and moving each joint in the body.. The goal is to awaken the entire body as being part of your dance. This stage is about expanding your range of movement and finding all kinds of new combinations of movement, through the awareness in your joints!
2. Breathing and Feeling Energy:
More free movement is freeing the Energy Flow through your body!!! Here we learn to amplify it through conscious breathwork. We also train some Qi Gong excercises, to really feel Qi between your hands and how you can make that Qi become dynamic through dancing with it.....
This is deeply enhancing your connection to the dance and the world around you.
3. Exploring Movement Through Space:
We now deeply investigate the freedom to move across the room, feeling both the space and the people around us. Expolring diffrent ways to make steps and becoming more effortless in moving the upper body , while making steps to the room...
4. Dancing Together:
Traditionally, dances were choreographed with set steps to connect people. In this stage, we explore the beauty of really dancing together, while each person maintains their unique style.
We use the joint and Qi and step awareness of the stages before to deepen the freedom of finding ways to move together as a communication !
5. The Dance Floor as a Living Organism:
Once we’ve mastered dancing with others and shifting partners, the final stage invites us to experience the dancefloor as a collective organism. We’ll perceive everyone dancing individually yet interconnected. The room becomes a dynamic, living organism, with each dancer contributing to the whole.
