Here are the details for our first FREE dance during the Fringe Fest. There will be live music and this dance is open to everyone, with all dances taught and called!
Here on the Hill is a dynamic contra trio from Boston featuring Tory Horner, Annie McDougall, and Rosemary Powell. With Tory and Annie's soaring fiddles and Rose's driving guitar, the trio brings a mix of classic New England contra tunes, modern gems, and original tunes to dance floors across the Northeast. Since meeting in the fall of 2024, they have been playing as many dances as they can, and are currently preparing for Fall tours of Upstate New York and the Mid Atlantic.
Alex is a NYC-based folk dancer, caller, teacher and organizer. She calls dance weekends, camps and festivals all over the country. Her clear teaching, smooth voice and fun dance selection delights dancers coast to coast! Alex is excellent with all levels of dancers whether they just walked in the door or have been dancing since before she was born.
When: 7PM on Thursday 9/11
Where: 295 Gregory Street (plenty of free parking!)
Who: Everyone! All are welcome and no dancing experience required.
Cost: Free!
