About this Event
The American Tapestry Chorus is comprised of choristers and musicians from throughout the United States including choir members from First Baptist Church, Pensacola, Florida; First Baptist Church, Huntsville, Alabama; and singers from Delaware, North Carolina, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia. As members of local church and community choirs, the singers have come together for performances throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Mr. Martin has performed many solo piano recitals and has been the featured artist with symphony orchestras in the United States and Mexico. Though he continues to perform in concert, he now devotes his efforts to playing in churches and for conferences of church musicians.
Recognized throughout the United States for his many choral compositions, both sacred and secular, Mr. Martin has over 2500 compositions in print and the list continues to grow each year.

Edinburgh Police Choir EPC
In a city with more than 50 choirs, we believe EPC is unique. We are community choir, welcoming members from the whole of central Scotland, and we take pride in creating a sophisticated, lovely sound in four-part harmony. We rehearse throughout the year, with performances dotted throughout.
We have members who enjoy singing to a high standard, in a supportive environment. The ‘choir family’ ethos is equally important and we look out for each other - there are social events, choir retreats and trips to competitions which are always huge fun to take part in.
The choir currently has just short of 40 members from central Scotland. There are a few serving police officers and staff among the ranks, but the majority have no connection to the police force. The only requirement is to be able to pass our voice test (see joining the choir), You do not need to be able to read music – some can, some can’t. Audio learning tracks are provided on our website and that is how many of us learn.
The choir’s repertoire includes pop songs, traditional and folk tunes and the occasional popular classical piece. A number of the arrangements are created specially for us, and we are known for ‘mash-ups’ of two or more songs. Head to the 'have a lsten' page to hear us.
Performing is very much the focus of what we do, and no venue or event is too big or small.
We are delighted to welcome Stuart Mitchell to our EPC family.
Born in Fife, Stuart Murray Mitchell is a composer, tenor and animateur active in Scotland.
Having gained a First Class degree in Music, Stuart completed his Masters degree in Composition at London's Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. He has recently completed his PhD at Edinburgh Napier University with a focus on text and music.
Stuart specialises in writing for the voice, in particular, for choir. He has a vast amount of experience in leading choirs of all age groups and thoroughly enjoys working with singers of all backgrounds and abilities.
