Samuel Springer, DMA is active in the Mid- Atlantic region as recitalist, accompanist and church musician. As a performer, Samuel has played concerts in England, the United States and the Caribbean. Samuel has performing large-scale choral accompaniments in works such as the Duruflé Requiem and Vierne's Messe Solennelle with many choirs and choral groups. He was been a clinician at American Guild of Organists workshops. He has also written articles for journals such as Choir and Organ and The American Guild of Organists Magazine.

Samuel studied at Trinity College of Music, London, Yale School of Music, and the Peabody Conservatory of Music. He is the recipient of many awards for organ performance and scholarship, among these are the W.F. Langmaid Prize for organ from Trinity College of Music, London, the Harry Jepson Memorial Scholarship for organ from the Yale School of Music, and he was named the Hugh Giles Scholar at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music & the Arts, and the Lynn Hebden Award for organ performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Music. His teachers include Thomas Murray, Charles Krigbaum, Gerre Hancock and Donald Sutherland. His previous appointments were as Organist at Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, Assistant Organist at Yale Divinity School and Trinity-On-The-Green, New Haven.

Music at the Monastery is a collaboration of musical events between the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America and the District of Columbia Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Free parking is available in the Monastery visitor lot. Or take the Red Line to Brookland-CUA then hop on the H6 Fort Lincoln Metrobus and get off at 14th and Quincy Streets NE (Monastery stop)
