Jennifer McKeown will speak to the community about wild edibles in the Pacific Northwest. During the talk you'll learn the benefits of foraged food, safety tips, and 10 fun wild foods to find with kids in the spring. We'll also talk a bit about making medicine from wild foods and wildcrafting.Jennifer earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Seattle Pacific University and a certificate in Wetland Science and Management from the University of Washington. For ten years she worked at a local conservation non profit coordinating native habitat restoration projects and running a native plant nursery. She now runs a photography business and offers classes on foraged food, plant medicine and wildcrafting. She loves being in the woods and will go on wild goose chases if it means finding edible mushrooms. We are so excited to host this event and learn more from Jennifer!
