Free Community Mosaic Activity with Pittsburgh Glass Center

Learn the centuries-old art of mosaic making by creating your own unique mini work of art using beautiful glass pieces. Inspired by the One Hundred Moments Project exhibition on view at Pittsburgh Glass Corner, participants will explore the basics of mosaic techniques, design, layout.
This activity will be held at Pittsburgh Glass Corner, our satellite gallery, community space, and artist residence located at 5431 Penn Avenue, just a 3-minute walk from Pittsburgh Glass Center's main building. The activity is free and no registration is necessary. All ages are welcome!
The One Hundred Moments Project exhibition, produced by the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) and the Stained Glass Association of America (SGAA) is open for viewing Saturdays from 11am to 3pm through September 19, and Friday, September 4 from 6–9 (or by appointment). The work of seasoned professionals is displayed alongside enthusiastic newcomers to the mosaic, mixed media, stained glass, glass bead, and fused glass making processes, culminating in 100+ moments of life rendered by artists from all over the world.
