For 13 years the Ridgecrest United Methodist Church, 639 North Norma Street, has been offering free community meals to the general public. This outreach is currently operating on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Fridays of each month, drive-thru pick-up in the south social hall parking lot, any time between 5:00pm-6:00pm.
Those without a vehicle and unable to drive-thru are welcome to walk-up to the service door for to-go meals.
If you plan to request more than 8 meals, please contact the church through its social media outlet, prior to the meal, to ensure that enough to-go plates are available for you.
This outreach is 100% volunteer led. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the volunteer coordinator at [email protected].
Even though this outreach is offered at no cost, it costs about $10,000 per year to operate. Donations are accepted and 100% benefit this outreach. Donations are accepted at the door, or mailed to RUMC at 639 North Norma Street, Ridgecrest, CA 93555 (please denote "Friday meals").
