Union Lutheran Church, Morales Kitchen's Cooking Up Connection Youth Program and York College Center for Community Engagement invite you to a free Community Dinner at Union Lutheran Church. November 9th from 5-6 p.m. here at Union. 408 W Market St.
Please use the Penn Street Entrance.
The food is being prepared around what the young people in the Cooking Up Connections program created and named “The Recipe for Belonging.” It’s their way of describing what goes into building community and Belonging
1 gallon of love
2 liters of appreciation
1 quart of kindness
1 pound of respect
4 units of passion
½ cup of recognition
1 ounce of happiness
2 tablespoons of care
1 teaspoon of sassiness
This recipe will be at the heart of our meal and message, it shows how food and belonging go hand-in-hand.
Funding for this meal comes from the grant for the Feast of Abundance Program. This grant was made possible by a generous donation from the Stewardship of Life Institute; co-sponsors are Kindling Faith at ULS and the ELCA Churchwide Office.
