Free Community Class: Cups of Magic - Fall Tea & Honey Traditions
Note: This is a free community class, tickets are required due to limited space.
As the days grow cooler and autumn settles in, generations before us turned to simple ingredients from the kitchen and garden to stay well through the changing seasons. Long before modern medicine, women were often the keepers of this knowledge, learning how to combine warming herbs, honey, and spices to create nourishing teas & tonics for their families.
In this free community class, we’ll learn about traditional fall herbs and why they have been used for centuries to support immune health during the colder months. We’ll also look at the long history of honey as both food & medicine, valued across cultures for soothing sore throats, calming coughs, and helping herbal remedies taste both comforting and delicious.
Traditionally, this knowledge lived in sisterhoods, kitchens, gardens, and handwritten remedy books. Women blended teas, syrups, and tinctures using what they observed from nature and passed down through generations. At times, that practical wisdom was misunderstood, or even feared, simply because it held quiet power.
During our time together you’ll learn the basics of building a balanced herbal tea, how honey can enhance both flavor and function, and how these traditions connect us to centuries of seasonal care & community knowledge.
