Free Comic Book Day 2024 is happening on May The Fourth and here’s what will be happening at Golden Apple HQ11am opening with Treasure Hunt map to find all the FREE comic giveaway areas in and around our shop. It’s a block party with local businesses Standings 🥩 Coffee for Sasquatch ☕️ and new this year Pink’s Hot Dogs 🌭 We are also excited to partner with Disney and Marvel to give away posters of your favorite tv shows like Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Falcon and Winter Soldier & more while supplies last.
11am-5pm come watch and participate at our LIVE Podcast Theatre with new groups every 30 min or so including: Cyclops is Waiting for You, Star Wars Book Club, Deeper Issues Nerdcast & many more!
Also, we will have a LIVE DJ Set by PDub, 3 for $1 Comic sale on 1000’s of back issues and a Bake Sale with yummy desserts to benefit Golden Apple Comic and Art Foundation 🍪
Then from 3-5pm we are hosting the newest and hottest publisher Magma Comix. Grab a free preview issue of all upcoming titles and meet their creators of Principles of Necromancy Jackson Lanzing (co-creator and writer) Colin Kelly (co-creator and writer) Eamon Winkle (series penciler) We will also have an exclusive #fcbd black and white full art variant by Darick Robertson for sale only at the event. They will be very limited and first come, first served. Unfortunately, Darick has to cancel his appearance at our event due to personal reasons. We hope to have him back for that launch of his Magma title Greaser: Gemini Blues
