Kapow! It’s comic season in San Diego, and Thumbprint Art Gallery and Playground Art + Coffee are celebrating with an exhibit of comic art by talented locals, plus a costume contest, free giveaways, and community art activities.

Enjoy the comic gallery, contribute to our community comic panels, and make your own trading cards to take home. Costumes are entirely optional, but participants will be entered to win fun prizes, including craft chocolate, art workshops, comic books, boardgames, and more. Test out your ComicCon cosplay, wear that Marvel or DC Halloween costume, or make up your own superhero – we're here for it all!

The Kapow Comic Art Show event is part of a long line-up of community events at Playground Art + Coffee. Join us every weekend for affordable, no-pressure art workshops, free music and gaming, entertaining popups, and more playtime for gown-ups. And of course, we've always got the best specialty coffee, matcha, and tea, plus organic housemade goodies.
