Join Alaska Works Partnership for hands-on Carpentry Training designed to help participants develop practical construction skills while learning about apprenticeship and career opportunities in the skilled trades.
🛠 You'll Learn:
• Carpentry Fundamentals: Build measuring, layout, and construction skills.
• Metal Stud Framing: Layout and construct interior wall systems.
• Sheetrock Installation: Hang, tape, mud, and repair sheetrock.
• Maintenance Trades: Learn basic plumbing and electrical maintenance.
• Interior Installation: Install doors, trim, cabinets, and flooring.
• Finish Work Skills: Explore interior and exterior finishing techniques.

• Participants must be available to attend all five days of training.
• Completing an application does not guarantee acceptance into the training.
• Applicants may be contacted for an interview as part of the selection process.
• Participation in the interview process is required for final consideration.
• Accepted participants must provide the following documentation:
* Birth Certificate or Social Security Card
* Valid Driver's License or State ID
* DD214 (Veterans only)
