About:

Paolo Apuli is a Chicago-born Filipino-American singer-songwriter and blues musician whose sound is as heartfelt as it is powerful. Known for his smooth, crystal-clear vocals and expressive guitar work, Paolo seamlessly blends the soul of blues with the intimacy of songwriting to deliver performances that resonate deeply with audiences.

After years as a solo acoustic artist, Paolo returned to his musical roots by diving headfirst into the vibrant Chicago blues scene. In a short time, he’s made a lasting impression — headlining Buddy Guy’s Legends and opening for acclaimed acts including Toronzo Cannon, Wayne Baker Brooks, Bobby Rush, and the legendary Buddy Guy himself.

Paolo’s music has been featured on local news outlets such as WGN Daytime TV and NBC5. In 2025, Paolo’s band won the Windy City Blues Society’s Chicago Blues Challenge and went on to represent the city at the 2026 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.
