FREE Autism Community Family Fun Day

Family Community Event Overview:

Date: Sunday, February 8th

Time: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
We are excited to invite our families to a fun-filled Family Community Event designed to celebrate connection, inclusion, and kindness. This relaxed, outdoor gathering will include music, activities, and opportunities for families to enjoy time together in a welcoming environment.

Families are encouraged to bring a blanket for a picnic, a cooler with your own food and drinks, and lawn chairs for comfort. We will have a DJ providing music throughout the event, a Valentine’s-themed photo booth for memorable pictures, and a short 1K Kindness Walk around campus for those who would like to participate.

This event is meant to be casual, sensory-friendly, and enjoyable for all ages. We look forward to spending the afternoon building community and creating meaningful memories together.

Will food or drinks be provided, or should families bring their own?
SOS will not be providing food due to allergies and selective eaters; only water will be provided. Feel free to bring your own snacks.

Are there shaded or indoor spaces if a child needs a break?
Yes, there are shaded areas or indoor space if a child needs a break.

Is the walking path of for the 1k kindness walk stroller-and wheelchair-accessible?Unfortunately, the short 1K kindness walk is not stroller- and wheelchair-accessible.

Is participation in the kindness walk required?
Absolutely not, we have other fun, engaging activities near the DJ (gated area).

Are activities appropriate for all ages and ability levels?
Yes, we are an ABA Clinic where we believe children should have a variety of age-appropriate activities.

Will photos or videos be taken during the event?
Yes, photos and videos will be taken during the event. However, you can request to opt out of photos/videos.

Should families bring sunscreen, hats, or other outdoor essentials?
Yes, families should bring their own essentials.

Will staff be present to help support families?
Yes, we will have staff on site to help support families.
