🎨 Event Overview: Youth Create the Future
AKU Nonprofit invites you to a bold, creative experience for young artists ages 6–19. This free workshop series is designed to help youth explore their creativity, build confidence, and express themselves through art.
Through guided, hands-on sessions led by local teaching artists, participants will learn different art techniques while discovering their unique voice in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment.
🌟 Meet the Founder
AKU Nonprofit is led by founder and Executive Director Michael Grant, a self-taught artist with over 15 years of experience. His work blends Japanese and African art styles with a hint of anime, creating a bold and culturally rich approach to creativity that inspires the next generation of artists.

🎟️ Registration & Attendance
To provide the best experience for every student:
- Each session is limited to 12 students
- A waitlist will be available once sessions are full
- Registered participants will receive reminders two weeks before and one week before their session
- If no response is received by the week of the class, the ticket will be released to a student on the waitlist
⚠️ Things to Know
- Space is limited to ensure a quality experience
- Participants should arrive on time for full participation
- Comfortable clothing is recommended (art can get messy!)
- Parents/guardians are encouraged to stay nearby for younger participants
