We invite ALL interested individuals to our OPEN (FREE) TRIAL SEMINAR on Thursday, November 28, 2024, 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM, at our school in Kesariani, to see how acting exercises, based on the Stanislavski System, can have a wide range of benefits regarding self-development.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF ACTING CLASSES?
●Acting classes are an effective and resourceful way to sharpen your acting as well as your soft skills or people skills. These can include good communication and interpersonal skills, leadership, problem solving, empathy, mindfulness, time management, teamwork, teambuilding, and adaptability.
●The classes cover a wide range of topics including: Acting, Improvisation, Theater Games, Connectivity and Communication Exercises, and Exercises for Developing Sensitivity and Awareness, based on the Stanislavski System. All these skills combined develop and enrich our Emotional Intelligence. This in turn elevates our public speaking performance, helps us forget our fears and anxieties, and overcome any insecurities that we may have. We learn to manage the spotlight with confidence and make an impact on our communication with others.
●Finally, the practical soft skills we are going to learn will encourage us to deeply understand and connect with our own emotions, as well as with the emotions of those with whom we are interacting. This process of self-exploration and emotional engagement can have a ripple effect, leading to improved interpersonal communication, empathy, and emotional awareness.
WHO CAN ATTEND:
The classes are open to a diverse audience, and participation is welcome from individuals across various professional backgrounds and interests. Potential attendees include, but are not limited to: ► Managers ► Business Executive ► Public Relations Professionals ► Freelancers ► Educators ► Salespersons ► Lawyers ► Doctors ► Professionals involved in human resources management ► Parents ►Theater enthusiasts and Amateur Actors seeking to discover the "secrets" of the acting craft.
It should be clarified that it is NOT REQUIRED for someone to have attended similar classes to participate in our Acting for Self-Development classes. The principles of Stanislavski are not limited solely to those who want to learn about acting. They have broader applications in our daily lives and are relevant to ALL of us (such as educators, lawyers, doctors, etc.)! The objective is to become more effective communicators through a series of self-awareness acting exercises (“Know Thyself”), self-esteem, self-confidence, free expression, etc. In short, acting is a form of psychotherapy and self-development. It helps us, not only in our personal lives, but also in our social and professional lives!

George Kastrounis is a Greek-American Acting Coach born in Alexandria, Egypt. He studied Economics (Bachelor of Arts) in England at Kingston University. He then pursued postgraduate studies in Economics (Master of Arts) at the London School of Economics in England and at the New School for Social Research in New York. However, his passion for the theater led him to study Acting and Directing at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, where actors such as Robert Redford, Kirk Douglas, Danny DeVito, and John Cassavetes studied. He continued his studies at North Dakota State University in the USA, where he earned a Master of Arts degree in Theater Arts.
In addition to acting and directing, George Kastrounis has written plays performed by university theater groups, as well as amateur and professional troupes in the U.S. and Greece. He has participated in theatrical productions as an actor and director, and appeared in films and television series. In the winter of 2018, he produced and directed his own play, “The Absent God” (ΘΕΟΣ ΑΠΩΝ), at the "Imeras Theater" (Θέατρο της Ημέρας) in Athens, and in June 2022, he wrote, directed, and produced a collection of five one-act plays under the uniform title, “CASUS BELLI”, at the “Paramythias Theater” in Athens, for which, in a nationwide playwriting competition, received, from the Screenwriters Guild of Greece, first prize for best original play.
Furthermore, since December of 2022, he began conducting throughout Greece "In-person Seminars on Emotional Intelligence & Communication based on the Stanislavski System of Acting".
In 2009, he realized a lifelong dream by founding the “Actors in Action - American Acting Studio” both for children and adults, in Kesariani: Facebook page: www.facebook.com/actorsinaction).
