About this Event
****UPDATE***PLEASE READ***
Thanks for your interest. The official registration for this event is through this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/dancesanctuaries_031123
Participants can register for multiple classes but surveymonkey requires that they re-register each time. Eventbrite registrations will not be shared with the Kennedy Center and do not secure your spot.
The Kennedy Center shared with us that they have over 40 people signed up for each class and that is why they may show up as sold out. They told us that almost always only half of the people who register online show up, and that there is usually room for those who show up without signing up (up to 70 people). The Eventbrite ticket does not guarantee you space with the Kennedy, only surveymonkey registrations are valid, and you have to register for each class separately on surveymonkey. Our recommendation is to try to sign up for any of the classes that have space, otherwise, please arrive the day of the event to the class/es that most interests you.

Join us to experience the Caribbean moves of Puerto Rican bomba dance! Bomba is a conversation/interaction between a dancer and a drummer, in which the drummer simultaneously interprets the improvised dancer’s moves as drum beats. Each class will include new moves, rhythms and techniques with the Boricua sazón of live drumming! All ages welcome! All workshop led by Semilla Cultural founder and director, Isha M. Renta López.
