We are calling you on Friday 26 September in Anasa Cultural Center for the opening of the new season of African dance classes with Dauda Conteh.

Info: The class has three parts

• warm up the body, built up energy and connect the body with the rhythms of west Africa
• traditional therapeutic movements, sharing an uplifting trance-like dynamic experience for the body and soul
• stretching-meditative relaxation
accompanied with the healing vibes of African harp (ngoni) to bring us back to our root.
We are sharing an 1&1/2 hour of a dynamic experience accompanied by live percussion (dundunmba, sangban, kenkeni, shabure and djembe)

Bio: Dauda Conteh is a dancer, performer, percussionist and acrobat born inside the National dance group of Sierra Leone, Africa. He has performed and travelled with many groups in Africa (Sierra Leone, Senegal, Gambia) Turkey, Europe (Poland, Italy, Spain). Since 2010 he has been living in Greece, teaching african dance (Simoria tou Iliou, Chorogramma, Pangea, Quilombo, Krousta tis Taki, Playground, Cumana, Anasa Cultural Center) and drumming in dance classes for children and adults.
He has collaborated with numerous artists taking part in presentations in different parts of Greece, including Stavros Niarchos, Simeio Theatre, Bollywood Festival 2014, Byron College Cultural Festival, Joo Waa Festival,Fringe Festival,Vanaba Festival,Hona Festival,Free Earth Festival and many more.
He was founder of the music and dance group Troupe Emma Ya, Watoto Africa, Vanaba Africa and curently the artistic director of cultural group "Sembe".
