Adventurous Nature Play – Thanks to Henderson-Massey Local Board
🌿 Play is an everywhere activity – especially in nature!
Join us for Adventurous Nature Play, a hands-on, family-friendly session designed for adventurous whānau who want to explore, create, and play together outdoors. Guided by nature play experts Om and Harry, we’ll discover the magic of our local parks and learn how to care for Papatūānuku while having plenty of fun.
🎯 What’s On Offer:
Stick games to kick off the session
Guided bush adventure – learning about edible and useful plants
Camp building with tarps & hammocks
Mud play – sculpting or pinch pot making
Closing games back at base to finish the adventure
📅 Event Details:
🕘 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
9:00 – 9:30 am | Stick games at base camp
9:30 am | Guided bush adventure begins
10:30 am | Build camp & set up hammocks
Lunch break followed by mud play
Return to base for final games (finish around 12:30–1:00 pm)
✅ Facilitated Family Session
Everything will be set up and ready to go for a 9:00 am start. This is a guided, structured session but with plenty of room for kids and parents to create their own play.
This is a smoke-free and alcohol-free event! and please remember to be kind and respectful.

Perfect for families who love to get outdoors, explore, and get a little muddy!

A change of clothes (just in case – we love mud!)
