FREE Advance Planning Workshops @ MV Y!
About this Event
Event Overview
Join us for a FREE, in-person Advance Care Directive Workshop. You'll learn how to make informed healthcare choices, ensure your wishes are respected, and bring clarity to your loved ones when they need it most.
"I Don't Want to Live That Way." But What Does That Mean?
Most people say this at some point. Few ever define it.
A basic Advance Directive names your Health Care Agent. It doesn't tell them what "that way" actually means, or what to do when you get there.
This workshop goes further.
You'll Learn:
- How to define your Minimum Life Thresholds, the specific conditions where you'd no longer want life prolonged
- Your full range of end-of-life options: comfort care, natural progression, MAiD, VSED
- How to build a Support Committee so your Health Care Agent isn't carrying this alone
- The difference between an Advance Directive and a POLST
You'll Leave With:
A usable Advance Health Care Directive, built on choices you actually thought through
Why This Matters
Autonomy at the end of life isn't automatic. It has to be documented, specific, and shared before a crisis hits. This workshop gives you the tools to do that.
