🎉 WHAT CAN YOUR CHILD EXPECT?

This isn’t your typical Saturday language class!

Cultural Bytes gets children listening, understanding, and using Mandarin from day one through games, movement, challenges, culture, crafts, music, and hands-on activities.

During their free 90-minute experience, children will enjoy:

🎲 Games and team challenges
🗣️ Meaningful Mandarin words and expressions
🎨 Hands-on crafts and projects
🎵 Songs, music, and movement
🐉 Chinese cultural discoveries
🏆 Friendly competitions
🤝 Opportunities to make new friends
🎭 Role-play and creative activities

BEGINNERS + HERITAGE SPEAKERS TOGETHER

No Mandarin experience is necessary!

Our program welcomes complete beginners and heritage speakers who may understand some Mandarin but need confidence using it.

Activities allow children to participate at their own level while listening, practicing, and communicating with others.

We especially welcome:

✨ Children learning Mandarin for the first time
✨ Children with limited previous Mandarin experience
✨ Shy heritage speakers
✨ Multilingual children
✨ Homeschool families
✨ Children curious about Chinese language and culture

The goal is not perfection.

THE GOAL IS TO HELP CHILDREN UNDERSTAND, COMMUNICATE, AND BECOME EXCITED ABOUT MANDARIN!

💛 YOUR FREE EVENTBRITE EXPERIENCE

❤️ THE CULTURAL BYTES DIFFERENCE

Mandarin may seem difficult, but a child’s first experience doesn’t have to be.

We don’t believe children should spend years studying a language before they are encouraged to use it.

Our philosophy is simple:

LEARN THE CULTURE, LEARN THE LANGUAGE.

Parents can expect a structured educational experience.

Kids can expect games, challenges, culture, creativity—and a Saturday morning that feels like CAMP!

Come try the first 90 minutes FREE and discover what your child can do with Mandarin.

星期六见! SEE YOU SATURDAY! 🎉🐼

Agenda

🕑: 09:00 AM - 09:30 AM
Welcome to Saturday Camp

Info: Welcome to Saturday Camp

Let’s get comfortable and start speaking! Teachers and campers get to know each other through fun, interactive games and activities designed to break the ice, build confidence and get kids using Mandarin from the very beginning.

🕑: 09:30 AM - 10:00 AM
FUN FACTS ABOUT THE CHINESE SPEAKING WORLD

Info: There’s much more to learning Mandarin than vocabulary! Campers discover fascinating traditions, celebrations, foods, places, and everyday life from Chinese-speaking communities—and then put their new knowledge to the test through games and friendly competition. Who will remember the most?

🕑: 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Let's Make it Make Sense!

Info: Now we bring language and culture together! Campers create a hands-on project inspired by the day’s cultural discovery. As they work, they share what they’ve learned, practice meaningful Mandarin words and expressions, and turn their new knowledge into something they can take home. By 10:30 AM, your child has already spent 90 minutes meeting new friends, playing, exploring Chinese culture, creating—and most importantly, USING MANDARIN!
