Join our free 1 hour cycle ride this Sunday 22 September from Greenbank Sports Academy to Wavertree High Street for a traffic free festival. The High Street is closed to traffic from 11am - 3pm with lots of music, cycling activities, food and stalls:
* Katumba Drumming Group
* Liverpool Shanty Kings
Tenderfood Theatre
* Magician, faceprinting & games for kids
* Dr Bike & cycle skills sessions
* Stalls for gifts, jewellery
We have bikes and helmets available to borrow for the ride, suitable for adults and teenagers who are at least 152cm (5'0") tall.
(NB. If you're borrowing a bike we'll lock it up when we arrive and agree a time to meet and cycle back to Greenbank Lane with one of our volunteers. You'll take a shorter route back 1.5 miles).

This ride is funded by Cycling UK's Big Bike Revival.
WHO IS THE RIDE SUITABLE FOR
This 5 mile ride is on quiet roads and we'll be going at any easy pace of 6-8mph. It suits anyone who wants to gain confidence cycling on the road or who wants to explore new routes around the city.
START POINT
Meet at the front of Greenbank Sports Academy on Greenbank Lane, L17 1AG.
ARRIVAL TIMES
* 10.30am if borrowing a bike.
* 10.45am for everyone else so we can check bikes over and have a safety briefing before setting off at 11am.
OUR ROUTE
From Greenbank Lane we cycle on quiet roads to Wavertree Park. Then we take Woolton Road cycle lane to Dunbabin Road and Childwall Triangle. From there we head along Score Lane & Thingwall Road and across Mill Lane onto South Drive to finish at Wavertree High Street for the Car Free Day event.

WHAT TO BRING
* A bottle of water to stay hydrated during the ride
* Clothes suitable for the weather - please check the forecast and dress appropriately before leaving home
* If bringing your own bike make sure it's in good working order with the tyres pumped up
