Fraser town heritage walk.
(We are back after 3 years, thanks to BBMP for ripping apart the roads & pavements). Step into the leafy avenues of Bengaluru's historic Cantonment on our popular Fraser town heritage walk that explores a side of the city often overlooked.
Far removed from the bustle of the old Pete, the charming neighbourhoods of Frazer Town, Richards Park, Coles Park and Cleveland Town reveal fascinating stories of the people who shaped modern Bengaluru. As we stroll through quiet streets lined with century-old homes and institutions, we'll uncover the history behind remarkable heritage structures and the philanthropic legacies of the visionaries who once called this part of town home. Not to mention the Anglo-Indians & their contributions to the food, heritage & education of Bangalore.
The walk includes visits to a historic church, a legendary bakery that has served generations of Bengalureans, a heritage school, and a traditional mutt, each offering a unique window into the Cantonment's multicultural past. Along the way, we'll also explore the area's distinctive food culture and the many communities that have contributed to its character over the decades.
There is so much history tucked away in these elegant neighbourhoods that this is only the first chapter of our exploration—we're already planning a second edition!
To complete the experience, guests will enjoy a specially curated traditional breakfast from a local Muslim home, offering a rare taste of the Cantonment's culinary heritage.
