We are proud to present an International Comedy Night in English!
Join us at A&O Hostel Ostend for an evening of Stand Up comedy that features a line up of comedians from all over the world!

Featuring Austin Francis

New York native Austin Francis started in comedy as a stress relief, which relates to the motto he uses: “Laughter is the best medicine”. Austin tells stories from his life (family, work, love, fatherhood,etc.), in a way for all to relate, be shocked by, but most important, laugh about it. Austin is a Frankfurt based traveling comedian as well as occasional host. He has opened several established names, and is currently working on his upcoming 4th Comedy solo.

Featuring Jerry Tosun

Meet Jerry, a 35-year-old from Turkey who now calls Luxembourg home. She turns her dating life and love-hate relationship with her home country into pure comedy. A former alcoholic who traded bottles for marathons, she has opened for some of comedy's biggest names, including Laurie Kilmartin and Luana Matei.

Featuring Mush Atmar

Weaving together story-telling and observations Mush Atmar explores life in Germany and all its contradictions as seen through his lens of dark and absurd comedy. In his stand-up Mush draws on his expereinces growing in an Afghani household as he navigates life filled with German bureaucracy in Frankfurt.

Featuring Fernando Acosta

Fernando Acosta, originally from Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast, brings a fresh and playful voice to the international comedy scene. Over the past four years, he has performed in Germany, Luxembourg, South Korea, Costa Rica, and Scotland, sharing his laid-back, observational humor with audiences from diverse cultures. Drawing inspiration from his life as an expat and his Latin American perspective on the world, Fernando turns everyday experiences—like adapting to new countries and cultural quirks—into clever, relatable stories. When he’s not making people laugh, he works as a financial advisor in Frankfurt, proving that even in the world of numbers, there’s always room for humor.

Featuring Tom Salonen

Tom Salonen is a Finnish stand-up comedian known for talking about cultural differences and telling hilarious stories from his personal life. His comedy blends sharp observation with self-deprecating charm, covering everything from the challenge of finding love in Germany to the absurdity of social norms.
