P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome Francesca Fontana to celebrate and discuss her new book, ; a Wall Street Journal reporter confronts the most difficult source she’s ever encountered, her own father, in this unsparing interrogation of the ways we deceive ourselves and others

Francesca will be joined in conversation by Nina St. Pierre author of . Along with a discussion and audience Q&A, Francesca will also sign copies of her book.


ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Francesca Fontana has been a reporter for the Wall Street Journal since 2018. She also hosts a weekly WSJ podcast, "This Week in Markets." In 2020, she won the “Front Page Award for Specialized Reporting” from the Newswomen’s Club of New York. Fontana is a graduate of the University of Oregon’s Clark Honors College, where she began the initial work for her debut book, The Family Snitch: A Daughter’s Memoir of Truth and Lies (Steerforth Press; February 2026).  She lives in Brooklyn with her cat, Jiji.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR

Nina St. Pierre is a queer essayist and culture writer whose work has appeared in Elle, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, Gossamer, Nylon, Outside, Columbia Journal, Bitch, Catapult, and more. She is a 2023 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellow in Nonfiction Literature. She holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Rutgers-Camden.

  • Doors open at 6:30pm, with the talk starting around 7:00pm.
  • Books will be available for purchase at the event.
  • Cost of a book bundle ticket reflects the total cost of the feature event book (MSRP plus tax). Each book bundle ticket guarantees ticket holders one (1) copy of the feature event book.
  • The talk will be followed by a book signing. Books signed at P&T Knitwear events must be purchased from P&T Knitwear.
