School students across France have sparked a mass revolt against the Macron government. They are joined by millions on the street, fighting for a better future - against crumbling services, the cost of living, institutionalised racism, climate destruction and the race to war.
In Spain, Italy, Albania, Germany, Belgium, Portugal and more, people are coming out and rallying against the existing state of things. In Serbia, a student led movement has toppled the Vucic government.
How far can these political movements go? What are the prospects for meaningful societal change and what the challenges of delivering it?
