Framing and Ekphrasis
Tutor: Kathleen Knight
Dates: July 10th & 17th, 2024, from 9.30am to 12 noon
Cost: Block of two workshops $40 for members of the Society; $50 for non members
Framing is used in photography to determine what is left in (or out) of a picture to focus the viewer’s attention. Kathleen Knight will show you how framing can focus the attention of your readers. Ekphrasis is being inspired by, and reflecting on, a scene or work of art, and narrating your thoughts, feelings, or expanded perceptions in vivid detail. Learn to create evocative descriptions sparked by forms of art.
