Play an active part in designing the Framework and ensure that it is practical and usable across the sector.
About this Event

Please note that the workshop on February 26 is for Community Group and Civil Society Organisation representatives only.

The Framework for Collaboration will put in place a mechanism for government, philanthropists, beneficiary organisation and stakeholders of the sector to collaborate together on social issues of mutual interest. The Framework will enable all parties to engage and agree on key areas such as funding principles, decision-making, roles, responsibilities, learnings and accountability.

To ensure the voices and views of the sector are at the heart of the Framework, the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht will hold a series of workshops.

These workshops will provide an opportunity to every actor of the philanthropic sector to input into the Framework design to ensure shared insights are captured to directly inform the design of a practical and realistic framework.

These sessions will:

  • use exercises that explore decision-making, risk, pace and governance across the sector,
  • surface opportunities, tensions and practical needs raised by participants,
  • gather examples of where cross-sector collaboration succeeds or struggles, and
  • shape the risk-handling section of the Framework.

The workshops will take place in person at the following locations and dates:

  • Tuesday 24 Feb - Dublin - Multi-stakeholder
  • Wednesday 25 Feb - Dublin - Multi-stakeholder
  • Thursday 26 Feb - Dublin - Community Groups/Civile Society Organisations representatives only
  • Tuesday 3 March - Cork - Multi-stakelhoder
  • Wednesday 4 March - Athlone - Multi-stakeholder
  • Thursday 5 March - Dublin - Multi-stakeholder

Your attendance is only required at one workshop.

All workshops will start at 10am, with registration and refreshments from 9.30am, and finish at 1.30pm, followed by a light lunch.

Register your interest via the 'Reserve a spot' button for all the dates you are available to attend.
