Framed by Nature: A Solo Exhibition by Nate Evans

For the past several years, I’ve been collecting pieces of wood that most people would overlook, cut off, burn, or throw away. What started as a curiosity slowly evolved into a body of work that focuses on grain, natural edges, negative space, and the stories already present in the material.
I’m excited to share that work in my first solo exhibition, Framed by Nature, at the Indianapolis Central Library.
The exhibition features nearly
50 framed works created from salvaged and locally sourced wood, each one shaped by the material itself rather than forced into a design.
Join me for the artist reception on Tuesday, June 9 from 5:30–7:45 PM at the Central Library Atrium. Light refreshments will be provided, and I’d love the opportunity to meet you, answer questions, and share the stories behind the work.
