Frame by Frame Festival returns to Nairobi after a breakout debut that transformed rooftops, conversations, and cinema spaces across the city. Presented by Kalabars and powered by Creatives Garage, the festival has become a leading platform for bold, independent African storytelling.

This year's programme features 15 outstanding films from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Nigeria, South Africa, Angola, and Brazil, spanning short fiction, documentaries, animation, and experimental cinema. Alongside the screenings, audiences can enjoy filmmaker conversations, industry sessions, installations, and immersive storytelling experiences exploring the future of African cinema.

Frame by Frame celebrates stories in all their complexity—stories that challenge, provoke, archive memory, celebrate identity, and imagine new futures. Whether you're a filmmaker, artist, student, or film lover, the festival offers a space to discover new voices and engage with cinema that lingers long after the credits roll.
