Come and join us in learning the basics of frame basketry and make your very own basket to take home! Suitable as a foraging or small shopping basket.The morning will be spent creating the frame of the basket and adding ribs to create the shape you want. After sharing a simple vegetarian lunch, we will spend the afternoon weaving the structure, drinking tea and marvelling as the baskets start to take shape!
While this workshop is suitable for beginners, working with willow can be hard on the hands and does require a good level of hand strength and dexterity. Most people find the day intense but very rewarding. Come prepared to work hard and you will be so proud of what you can achieve in a day.
